I was inspired to write this post about one particular woman, who I had the pleasure to photograph a few weeks ago.  Her name is Donna Johnson, and she really is AMAZING and inspires me to do more.  As I was putting my thoughts together to describe how wonderful she is, I realized that there are so many women who I have met, both personally and professionally, who inspire me to be amazing in different ways.  These women, who trusted me to photograph them, may not even know how amazing they are and how much they inspire others.  So, with no further ado, here they are!  Just a few of so many...  

Donna JohnsonDonna Johnson

Donna Johnson, Executive National Vice President at Arbonne International.  Donna is not only the top earner in her company for the past 25 years, but she is also the creator of Spirit Wings Kids Charity, which helps orphans around the world.  Not to mention, she started out as a single mother of three (now happily married and a mother to five).  I was struck by her kindness and sincerity.  She is the kind of person you can't help but want to be around and work with.  You must read about the work she does!  There is not enough room here to describe how this woman created what she did, gives back the way she does, and leads others to do the same.  Inspiring!

Deborah Jones, Office Manager for John Cheang at Ameriprise Financial.  Deborah is not only an amazing thoughtful, loving, and giving person, but also the one who has been keeping my husband's business running smoothly for years.  He often calls her "The Boss", but to us she is just the sweetest lady you will ever meet.  We love you Deborah!

Cindi Glidden-Tracey, Associate Clinical Professor at Arizona State University.  Cindi was my practicum professor during my second year in the Masters of Counseling program at ASU.  I am grateful to her for inspiring me to be the counselor I became for many years before changing my career path to photography.  And, I am even more grateful that she supported my change by trusting me to take her family photos, as well as the ones that are currently hanging in the hallway of Payne Hall in the College of Letters and Sciences at ASU.  I can't even begin to express how much she has inspired me by just being a wonderful teacher, colleague, and friend.

Cara Zic, Owner of Prima Dance Arizona.  I hope you are beginning to see a pattern here of mothers who are successful business owners.  I met Cara through my younger daughter's passion for ballet.  She is a wonderful teacher, and yet flexible enough to understand that being a kid comes first.  Her gentle guiding ways are very much appreciated by this mother (ie., me), espeically in an art like Ballet, which demands strict diligence and concrete rules.
