Engagement Sessions and Save the Date Cards

Congratulations!   You're Engaged!  Take this time to celebrate your commitment to each other with an engagement photography session. Engagement sessions are very important for both the couple and the photographer.  This is the time to enjoy your time together before the hustle and bustle of your wedding day.  It may be stressful and overwhelming to pose on the day of your wedding.  Couples sometimes feel that there's too much pressure to pose naturally on their wedding day and to stay in the moment. But, your engagement session can be as creative and relaxing as you want it to be.  You can create photos at a place that is memorable to you as a couple.  Perhaps it was where you had your first date or a place you love to go together.  Some of my favorite images were those done by our photographer in Sedona, since this was where my husband had proposed.  At the time I didn’t think an engagement session was necessary, but now those are the images I have on the wall in a canvas wrap.

This is the time for you and your photographer to get to know each other as well.  I will get to know your style and the way you are with each other.  Knowing how you interact as a couple is important for me to know, so I can suggest a pose that is natural for you and represent who you are. This will always help on the day of the wedding in order to create images you are really happy with. 

Lastly, the images from your engagement session are great for Save-the-date cards to mail out to your guests!  There's no better way to say, "We're getting married!"
